Nancy Martin (b. 2001, Hampshire) graduated from The University of Brighton in 2023, with a First Class Honours in Fine Art Painting. Nancy transcribes interior monologues regarding fleeting moments into emotive, enigmatic forms. Observed subtleties become amalgamations of gestural marks, characterized forms and motifs; poetically synthesised together, dialogues are formed between rhythmic, tonal, and spatial relationships. Embodying sensations of seeing, she instinctively draws upon perceived distinctive passages and directional tensions within subjects, punctuating observed rhythms and creating rhythm within constructed works.
