Madeleine Wood (b. 1997, London) graduated from Edinburgh College of Art in 2020. She was awarded Leith School of Art Graduate Residency (21/22). Her work has been exhibited most notably at RSA New Contemporaries 2022, GENERATORprojects Dundee, Unit 1 Gallery London and at a solo show in Arusha Gallery, Edinburgh (Nov 23). Wood turns gallery spaces into theatre sets for her inky, anthropomorphic creatures. Since joining The Drawing Year she has been exploring further ways to engage with space, particularly through colour.
