Anna Redwood (b. 1967, Folkestone) studied Spatial Design in 1987. She has since completed an MA in Fine Art at Chelsea School of Art (UAL) in 2021 and she joined the Royal Drawing School in 2023. Redwood was elected to Royal Institute of Oil Painters (1996). While raising five children, she continued her practice. Her work as a war artist’s tour in Afghanistan and portraits of Battle of Britain pilots are now housed in public museums. Recent work responds to the instinctive resonance unearthed by the process of drawing, an archeological dig into herself revealing universal themes.
